Cake/Cuppcake decoration progress part 1

Hey again!

Here's some pictures of how Im making the decoration for the cakes/cuppcakes.
I've been som busy, that i don't really have time to write here :c
BUT! I have good news.

This weekend I'll do the photo shoot, everything's (almost) set and done c:
Don't have too high expectations on me, just saying..

On Friday/Saturday I'll bake the cakes and stuff, on Sunday morning I'll go to the place where the photo-shoot will be, and I'll pick looooots of flowers and put up the decoration + clean a bit. Then when everything's about done, my friend will come and do the make up for my sisters/cousins.
I'll post some pics then c:

ANYWAY, decortion-making for the caks/cuppcakes:

What Im using is a white "base" made of sugar,
when it dries it becomes hard, and you can paint it if you want.
I started with cutting it in pices.

After that i cutted it, I started with one of the pieces,
and some icing sugar, to prevent it from getting sticky.
Then it's just to "roll" it out, untill you have the size and thickness you desire.

I used a puzzle shape for the decoration,
cause I thought it would look cool on the cake.
Later when it's finished I'll write "Eat me" on the puzzles pieces.

Some more puzzle pieces waiting to dry.

I decided to put some butterflys on the cake too,
considering all the flowers I'll have on the table :3

I left the butterflys to dry like this, that way they'll have the position of how
a real one would have if it would sit on the cake :3

Here you see the colours I'll use for the decoration.

I used a egg-cupp for the paint, cause you dont need that mych of it.
To make the paint, use icing sugar and put just a dropp of the colour in in, then blend.
You can add water if you want.

I used a match to blend with, not my brightest idea,
but i got desperate.. :^^,

Here you see some of the decoration drying, so that it can later be painted.
I haven't yet painted any of them, they still had to dry.. But i tried to make the coulour and had some fun trying to mix them, ending up with a disaster.. c:

I'll try to write as soon as possible again.. But untill then,
Over and out
-F
